Did not file AP or EAD because I was think it may slow down my application, but I was just guess on this beside I don't need to change job or travel.

Hi,
This is not going to be a concrete suggestions like the ones seen above in the page 7 of this thread. There is a large India Caucus in the senate (also in House??) and they are well tuned to the reality of situations. I dont mean that these efforts should narrowed down to a particular subpopulation of retrogression victims. This is just a suggestion with good intentions. Even if this India Caucus congress members may not have direct role in immigration bills, I wonder whether they could be used to approach other members with stake in this immigration legislation. I am sorry I dont know anybody in that caucus (wish I did).

no wonder they are talking about impeachment of GWB and Sr Mcain's press conf. no news of this protest.. I like the way Michael moore trashed them yesterday in his live interview with Wolf on why and how CNN neglected his story all along..

Hello Everyone,
Last year we ran a High Five Campaign and collected $4883 over a period of 4 months. It was a disappointment.
Now as we know the environment is very volatile and lot of things are going against LEGAL Immigrants i.e US (TARP Employer H-1B Restriction Bill (Sanders Bill)), i will like to request everyone to contribute as much as they can. I will like you to contribute a minimum of $20 dollars.
ALL you need to do is write out a $20 cheque and send it to IV on the address listed.

My attorney told me that they sent my case to USCIS through FEDEX overnight on 6th June. My check is not cleared from my bank yet. I am concerned about my RD. Any idea?

Flower campaign has been a tremendous success. Look at how many inquiries we are getting. If you are in the particular city or state, where a reporter is trying to do a story, please come forward and contact these reporters.

New employment: Have an offer to start a new job around middle of next year by which 180 days will be complete. New job is very different than current one. Here is my plan:
1. Don't file AC21, hope that I won't receive RFE since my PD wont be current for a long time.
2. Change address, but give friend's address in the same city as mentioned on application
3. Convince current employer to respond to RFE (in case any) positively
4. May be have an arrangement with current employer to work part time when I start new job. So that way, I'll remain on previous employer's payroll and he can respond to RFE...

I opened a SR for non receipt of my FP notice, on 30Oct2007. I got a reply from USCIS exactly after 45 days ( very prompt) notifying me that " my FP has not yet expired or my FP is not yet cleared". Certainly this looks like a canned reply from USCIS which was sent even without looking at my file. I guess they should be more transparent in their process than just sending plain lies.

The answer is in your question. Numbers. A few years ago (circa 2002-) no one complained much about Indians. Recently the complaints in the media/forums etc. are much higher. Why ? More H1, => more bodyshoppers (mainly India) => more abuse => more complaints and so on.
Also FYI, H1 is "temporary" just like F1. H1 is not a guarantee to GC. So you need to go back after 6 years, since you say F1 should leave after graduation.
Thats my point. Why are pakistanis getting green cards and nobody is saying they have taken jobs away from Americans? So many come to US on visa free travel, work 6 months undocumented from european countries, yet they are the first to get the GCs while Indians abuse B1, they abuse H1. How come only Indians abuse everything no one else abuses anything?

I am in same situation who has sept 10th ND from TSC , no FP for me or my wife. I did open a SR and i got a response letter saying that either your FP has expired or clearance has not been received.. will send one by mail soon.
It has already been 45 days since the letter was dated. NO FP nothing.
Has going to IO helped anybody is getting a FP notice? That seems my last resort.
No update from my side. I had called last week and week before that. Apparently I got the same IO the last two times and first time she told me no FP scheduled , security check cleared. Second time she said no FP scheduled and I asked about security check and she said its still pending. Imagine same IO giving inconsistent information regarding my security check. My Employer's Inhouse Attorney ( one of big 4 ) says technically EB dependents ( all 1,2,3) must be classified under FAMILY quota. USCIS mis classifies them under EMPLOYMENT quota.
Is he technically correct ?
Since, Most of dependents will not be affected when they are classified under Family quota (as they have AP and EAD).
Can IV possibly consider for push for reclassification of Dependents under Family Quota ? This will reduce backlog.
Please don't take it out of context, I am not trying to hurt any EB dependents, I too have a spouse working part time using beneficiary EAD. This is more of an open question.
Will you join our hands in recapture ? Will you considering contributing to IV. I will be happy if you can activlly participate in our effort.
This guy is here to divide us on one more point. People who has filled AOS VS Poeple who didnot.
People whose spouses have EAD and AP will go for it while people whose spouses doesnot have EAD AP will oppose it . This is very well game played by Anti. Be aware..
