My priorty date is 17th Jan 2003 Eb3(2)-India.
485 filed on 31st july 2007.
I also got a lud on my I-140 on 27th of july 2008. It is an approved I-140.
Has anyone else gotten a lud on their I-140 also ?

The culprit being subjected to Gandhigiri (Gandhi-ism: A strategy to win unjust,corrupt mind by highly unexpected pleasant deeds.)has some shame and self respect.If the target is a moron, he would slap you to death, no matter how many chances you give him.
In our case we don't even know who the culprit is (USCIS/DOS/Capitol Hill/Anti-Immigrants/Lobbyists). The only thing that would come out of these flowers is a security alarm. I know many would take this as a negative approach, but this is the most logical outcome of this deed.
On a lighter note, if sending flowers/fruits would have won hearts of the immigration officers, imagine how easy GC would be for those illegal immigrants who work in the farms.
For all those bouquets your sending... they will dismiss it as some security breach... cmon dont u know by now how USCIS is after 9-11.
They might just create panic out of innocent lovely flowers.

It should be :

The weird part is that my I-131 application still shows pending on the USCIS website . My wife who is the Primary applicant got her application approved on 07/22 .

I would ask the same question...
If EB3 and EB2 are equal( unbiased) in eyes of IV, then why sanhari's suggestion is not welcome?
EB2-EB3 discussion is not just unbiased in the eyes of IV, it makes no sense in the real world when it comes to finding solutions to the problem of backlogs. It only exists in this forum.

Careful my friend. Porting rules will be as tough as the rules for applying in Eb2. If you make porting difficult, you will set a higher standard for the approval of your application in Eb2 ending up with the possible rejection of yours and other Eb2 applications.
Why would you want to stop someone eligible to apply in Eb2? If someone has met all the criteria, the same criteria you had to fulfill when applying in Eb2, then what is the problem?

Any idea how long it takes for a decision once it has been assigned to an officer?
My wife's case was assigned to an officer on Aug 11th.
in my case iwas exactly 3 weeks.
Someone else mentioned on this forum that the officer will clear all the cases assigned to him/her within 30 days.

Not sure if I got your question...
You can file I-485 only when your dates are current. If you filed I-485 by itself (not concurrently with I-140) then your PD will not be on the I-485.

Tell me what wrong he did for him to apologize and I will apologize to you. When nothing is permanent he worked with them for 1 and half years, he got them 4 employees. Why in the world should he apologize?.
When you say that you will not need your clients you are wrong. when I was searching for projects I got a chance to apply to a job opening in one of my previous client, guess what, the start to my second stint was smooth just because I had a good rapport with my client and they liked my work. I even got one of my team mates in my client place to give me a referral for my higher studies.
"Your ex boss is not a bad guy, he knows you are leaving for better opportunity".He is not only a bad guy, he is evil IF (note the big IF) he is keeping the money which is not his. Their conscience should prick when they feed and give excellent education to their kids with the ill gotten money.
Unfortunately one might need his ex-employer in future (might not always be the case) and that is the irony of it all.
What wrong he did? Nothing illegal but certainly not the best practise. Atleast he has been insensitive to his former employer.

see my signature, no receipts till date money order not cashed, Called USCIS got an answer.... "Not yet in the System", but IO told me there is a big junk of files and it will be processed in next 30 or 40 days.

All the posts above are good coping measures, and some are used to actually deal with depressive symptoms. However they have missed the MOST important one! You used the term clinical depression. Please if you truly feel that way seek help, and seek it now, talk to your doctor or to a councilor. Though I won't go into details, I am speaking from personal experience. Sometimes things build up so much that we slip into such a state where we go beyond sadness and frustration and move to true depression.
From a site on depression: Depression is a disorder that affects your thoughts, moods, feelings, behavior and even your physical health. People used to think it was "all in your head" and that if you really tried, you could "snap out of it" or just "get over it." But doctors now know that depression is not a weakness, and it's not something you can treat on your own. Depression is a medical disorder with a biological and chemical basis.
Sometimes a stressful life event triggers depression. Other times depression seems to occur spontaneously with no identifiable specific cause. Depression is much more than grieving or a bout of the blues.
Depression, true clinical depression, is nothing you can cure with a trip to somewhere else, or having people point out to you how much better you are off than this person or that one.
