My situation is similar too.
The employer is not ready to file the 485, thinking that I may leave the company after 6 months.
I have the I-140 receipt notice , but no approval notice.
There is no way he is going to issue a employment letter , still debating my options.

No I have no proof to substintiate that, but I have read it on few forums here and there, I live in a very small city in NY, I know atleast 15 people with their PD in early 2003, That tells me the extent of problem, how many would there be in NJ, CA, IL, TX, VA etc. The only relief would be people who would convert to EB2 and leave that space. Labor Substition was a devil which has created most of this problem as I can see there are hardly 15-20% original beneficiaries for these 2002-2003 Labors.
Are we sure that there are around 5-6k EB3 pending in the years 2002 and 2003. If thats true then it will take atleast 6 more years to process all the EB3's for 2002 and 2003 :(

I have a bad feeling about IVs goals. Are you only concerned about getting the GC backlogs cleared? or are you going to be asking for H1b related issues to be addressed too? eg:- H1b renewal after the 6th year is an issue any moron could easily understand and pass. That has been there for many years and should continue for a successful H1b program. Please take care of that issue too. I dont see that included in the letter you have prepared to be sent out to all the senators. Please do that urgently. This is a very techinical issue and can easily be campaingned for. Pls dont ignore it.
If the number 3 in the letter has something to do with H1b renewal, pls reword it and make it clear, however, Idont believe its related to h1b renewal atall.
Please include atleast H1b renewal, one good thing about h1 that all of you have/currently are enjoying, to be included as one of your/our major demands. I am not asking for the H1b placement at different sites thing, that might be difficult to campaign for at this point of time, however, renewal needs to be done.

Why SKULL bill ? As a high level manager I have learned after years of experience that you need to use good sense of humor, satirize when confronted with insanities and very stressful situations.
I appreciate your effort to make us smile and relieve stress but when you repeateldly

I am happy to announce that I have received the EAD cards today (just like rc0878 had suggested). I should not have doubted the encouragement and estimation of the experience here.
So, I received the EAD cards dated Sept 18th, expiry is one year from the issue date i.e. Sept 17th, 2008 (unlike someone else's cards which were valid for only 3 months).
Let me know if someone wants to ask any other information.

I received my (and my family's) transfer notice (and hence the WAC### nos.) for 485 application yesterday at my residence. The cases were filed in CA by my lawyer (filing from MD). The cases have been transferred to TX.
I am yet to receive any notice/tracking no. for EAD and AP applications. The checks were made by the lawyer so that is not an option.
Questions::confused:
1) Does transfer mean delay in processing ?
2) Is EAD tracking no. different from the 485 no. ? If so, where can I get that from ?
3) Are they still issuing EADs in about a couple of months ? If so, that is great. If not, when does the 90-day clock start for INFOPASS ? (if it is an option in this incresed activity)
Any answers or discussions or links to the solutions are welcome.

My lawyer sent the applications on June 1st and we have the receipts already. They cashed the checks by June 6th.

I am wondering if anybody knows based on what indicators the cases are being transfered from one service center to another? My I485/765/131 went from Nebraska, to Texas, to Vermont (frustrating, since Vermont has the slowest processing times for I485). Any ideas?
