So Im interpreting it as - if you have Masters degree from US university it doesnt matter what field it is in.

We all morons wont still learn, we will still start prediting for next visa bulletin hoping that a reincarnation of god will ome and deliver us visa numbers.
Unless we all make a collective effort no one is going to listen to us. I know the fate of my post we all people are busy to get our post noted or express our opinion that we have lost our fous of what our main problem is. I think we deserve this perhaps I dont think if we continue like this we even deserve GCs.

Quota based on race argument is fallacious. For example, Bangladesh and Pakistan are not limited by the quota. However, they are the of the same ethnic/racial background as people from India.
Thats my point. Why are pakistanis getting green cards and nobody is saying they have taken jobs away from Americans? So many come to US on visa free travel, work 6 months undocumented from european countries, yet they are the first to get the GCs while Indians abuse B1, they abuse H1. How come only Indians abuse everything no one else abuses anything?

Senators and congressman in MN are not very helpful I guess, first they told me wait one month and if I dont hear anything then they will send a request, after one month I called them up to find out whether they can help, that guy in senator office told me to wait 6 more months.

I could not comprehend the exact purpose of this campaign.
We might draw more contributions if we have a bulleted point list on what these funds are going to serve. Is it for 2009 contribution pool or we have something that we are going to spend on right away like media campaign or newspaper articles?

Congratulations Aman on your green card.
Appreciate your feelings towards this community but personally i think IV need to have a system in place to reimburse expenses incurred towards the administrative costs, as suggested by mgos.
Atleast i think these funds we are collecting now should be directed towards an administrative expenses account for reimbursing you and all other core team IV members for the amount spent already.
Please arrange for setting up an administrative account (or should it suffice to just make the paypal contributions with a specific message saying something like "REIMBURSEMENT").

I have been working in the non-profit sector for the past 8 years and from experience suggest that in order for this movement/advocacy campaign to sustain it is important for us to have a system in place where core campaign members are reimbursed for their past and recurring expenses. We have contributed to IV previously and would like to pledge $200 towards Aman's expenses.

It looks like prior to this visa bulletin, the DOS was just guessing the dates for the visa bulletins. Hopefully this behavior changes moving forward.

I presume its already changed. Thats the one of the reasons, I guess, why they didnt move back the EB2-I/C dates instead moved a little further. Its a clear indication that they moving the dates steadily and consistently against the applicant numbers.

We have received our cards without getting CPO email. I got email for welcome notice sent on 08/05 and then approval notice sent on 08/08..got cards on 08/11..hope this helps...

funny thing, this SunnySurya guy happens to be from a small consulting company with 8 people out of which everyone got audited and at one point he says he does not know if his application is Eb3 or Eb2 and he is trying to figure it out.
Then he comes with filing a lawsuit against porting from EB3 to EB2

Received 'Card Production Ordered' email for my EAD few minutes back. Had received the same email yesterday for my wife. AP was approved for both me and my wife on 7/24. RD is 6/19/08 and ND is 6/23/08.
I am now relieved since I am currently working on EAD and current EAD expires on 10/4.

Do you really believe there are 700K "unique" cases pending.
I think elimination of Labor Substitution would take out atleast half of 700 K pending labors..

I wonder how many who come here on H4 know what complexities lay ahead in the G.C processing. unfortunately it is not easy to undo their marriage and go back.
They need a fair deal too just like the way those in EB-3 are waiting for a proposal that addresses their issues more directly rather than trickle down. I guess u r one of them.
I dont know how much u know about G.C before u came here. I am yet to understand it clearly.

I agree with MChundi here. I have been in this process since 2002 and have worked closely with my lawyers but it never ceases to amaze me how much complexity is built into the GC system. Putting the ads, applying for labor, aplying for I-140 answering any throwbacks from DOL/UCSIS. TO add to that the goof ups by the immigration lawyers and their para-legals certainly confuses the hell out of u.
Most ppl who apply for GCs are unaware about retrogression and PBEC problems at the onset. Even if they are aware u think, "well, my labour will take abt a year or so so by then hopefully things will become current". I mean not a lot of us, have the time or the foresight to plan THAT much in advance.
Now if we as H1s dont know the deal here, H4's CERTAINLY dont know the deal and it takes them a LOT more time to grasp the reality of things coz they have to absorb many other things like learning how to drive here, learning how the credit system works here etc etc etc.
All that being said, i would ask the H4's to try and avoid pointing blame at the IV members. This is not an easy process for sure. We are in NO position to demand anything from the US Govt. Whatever progress we have made is also quite phenomenal. I Still cant believe we collected even $100,000+ !! Right now the best strategy is to solve the primary applicant's problems and try and get the dependents problems go away along with that.

My applications ( I-140; I-485; I-765) were mailed on July 27th to NSC and they had acknowledged received on JULY-30th as per the mail delivery confirmation.
Today I recieved a note from my lawyer that the receipt notice has been issued for all of my applications.
Phew that was a relief as I was about to leave to India soon and was worried about travelling without the receipt number.
