It's hard to tell in this particular photo but it looks like the majority of the frame is either shadow or dark green. The metering systems in these cameras tries to make everything "gray", or make really dark things lighter, or really light things darker. It works most of the time where there is a good mix of tones. However in this case since the majority of the frame is dark it may be trying to bring it up and as a result blow out some of the flower petals that are on the edge of the bright side.
You can check the meter on your camera very easily by doing a poor man's spot meter.
1. Get close enough to the yellow plant so that the flower fills the entire frame in your viewfinder. Press the shutter halfway down and note the meter reading. If your lens won't focus that close don't worry about it, you just need the aperture and shutter speed numbers.
2. Check your manual to find out how to use Exposure Lock. At this point, lock the exposure, move back, compose the image the way you want, and take the picture with the metering from #1. If everything is working, your flowers should be exposed correctly but all of those shadows in the back will probably be black with no detail.

a. Copies of all I-94 issued- I do not have copy of I-94 that was issued to me on <>Date (my first arrival in US on H1). The original I-94 was returned to airline official at the time of boarding the flight.

Copy Avail? N
Remarks Original I-94 was handed over to airlines staff at the time of boarding [Departed by flight xxx ]. To support my claim, please see attached passport copy that shows arrival record in India on <xxx> [pages 3-4]
b. Approval notices for extensions or change of Status- My original H1 [XXXX] expired on [XXX]. An H1 renewal notice was filed on [XXXX] and was approved on [XXX] [WAC-XXX]. I am attaching copies of both the approval notices.
c. Any other Evidence of your lawful immigrations status: I am attaching a copy of approved I-140 [SRC-XXX] and a copy of I-485 filing receipt [WAC-XXXX]
d. Evidence of relationship: I am attaching the following documents
1. Copy of my birth certificate
2. Copy of my marriage certificate

OP,
Your PD has been current for only 12 days, it is in no way overdue. I would seriously continue to find more info and scale up efforts only after a couple of months. The real test of patience begins after the PD has become current.
That said, I have seen others get the reply you got before and then gotten approved in a few weeks
